An ancient form of Chinese energetic medicine. Qi Gong is a practice of slow movement, rhythmic breathing, and awareness. It belongs to a new category of exercise called “moving meditation”. Healing occurs through balancing Qi or electromagnetic energy which surrounds all living creatures.

The goal of Qi Gong is to correct these bio-energetic imbalances and blockages resulting from sedentary lifestyle, poor diet, surgery and aging. There are several Qi Gong styles designed by centuries.

Medical Qi Gong is a complete system of health care that recognizes the root cause and symptoms of disease, and treats a patient as a whole.

Methodology.

Medical Qi Gong uses physical movement, breathing method and mental intention to correct and restore the function of the body.

Qi can pass through air and clothing, no need to disrobe. Practitioner works a foot away from patient’s body, to guide and manipulate the movement of Qi. Patient’s may feel Qi moving sensation as warmth, tinging, vibration. Patient find the session extremely relaxing and rejuvenating.

After the treatment, a patient will be given Qi Gong prescription exercises to assist in their ongoing healing.

Different meridian-line qigong systems use different types of hand movements over different meridians in different sequences. Most seek to stimulate and balance the energy of the whole body. More complex systems require up to one hundred movements to balance specific channels and points on which they focus. These systems take a tremendous expenditure of time and effort to learn and require much daily practice.

Medical Qi Gong is effective for treating the following symptoms:

  • Insomnia
  • Headache
  • Stress
  • Emotional imbalances
  • Pain
  • Brain fog
  • Poor circulation
  • Fatigue
  • Low Energy

Qi Gong is one of the five branches TCM, along with acupuncture, herbs, nutrition/diet and Asian body work. It has a history going as far back as 5,000 years.

In medical Qi gong therapy, also known Energy Emission Therapy, a Qi Gong practitioner uses energy and intention to clear, strengthen and regulate the client’s energetic matrix, addressing specific health conditions or to promote overall health.
